This tour will enable us to understand how the city of Delhi came to be shaped into the way we know it today. The bloody passage between the Mughal and the English power that definitively and sadly changed the face of one of the world's most beautiful and wealthiest cities, Shahjahanabad, now known as Old Delhi.

We will walk through the alleys of Shahjahanabad, we will arrive at the Jama Masjid which is the second largest mosque in India and which was also the mosque of the Emperors. We will continue to the bazaars that line Chandni Chowk until we reach Khari Baoli, the spice market. We will enter some narrow lanes that still offer us an idea of what the houses of the past were like and we will see life go by feeling part of it. It will be a very engaging morning because Old Delhi is "the chaos", a fascinating and delirious aspect of this country!

Delhi, New Delhi, sometimes you have heard Old Delhi too, are you confused? Let's clarify and, while we're at it, let's go for a ride to Old Delhi! As a Venetian I've been immediately fascinated and it made me feel in tune, a maze of "gali" that led me to my "calli", where I loved and love to get lost. This Walk will also allow us to understand how the city of New Delhi took shape the way we know it today. We will also talk about the bloody passage between Mughal power and the British one that definitively changed the face of what had been one of the most beautiful and richest cities in the world, in the seventeenth century, Shahajahanabad, now known as Old Delhi. Let's take a dip in this chaotic world that will engage all your senses and will immerse you in one of the everyday realities of the many inhabitants of Delhi. Are you coming with me?
