4Place Outa el Hammam
Place de Outa-El Hamman is located in the center of the medina of Chefchaouen. North of Morocco. Outa El Hamman is the main square of the city of Chefchaouen. This square, predominantly red from the kasbah, is surrounded by cafes and restaurants where you can taste traditional dishes, such as couscous or tajine, just after drinking a delicious green tea. Around this square, which serves as a meeting point for hundreds of people a day, you will find various sites not to be missed, such as the Great Mosque Yama el Kebir or the Kasbah of Chefchaouen and its ethnological museum. These two sites are located opposite the Place de Outa El Hamman.

5Kasbah Museum
The Kasbah is located on the Place de Outa El-Hamman, right next to the Grand Mosque, in the city of Chefchaouen, in northern Morocco. This majestic Kasbah was built in the 15th century, more precisely during the year 1471, by Rachid Ben Ali. At that time, the attacks of the Christians were very repeated, to seize Morocco. This is why the resistance mobilized and Banu Rashid declared Holy War; soon after, the same Banu family built this imposing Kasbah to protect the city. This Kasbah was composed of a mosque (Jama El Kebir) and various nearby dwellings, which were in turn surrounded and protected by a wall, thus forming the center of the city of Chefchaouen, which developed very quickly. The ethnological museum of the city of Chefchaouen: today, the Kasah of Chaouen is in very good condition. Inside the latter is the ethnological museum of Chaouen, which offers a large collection of popular art and artisanal pieces from northern Morocco.

6Chefchaouen
Place Makhzen is located east of the famous Place de Outa El Hamman, in the medina of Chefchaouen, Morocco. On this splendid Place de Chefchaouen is the Makhzen market, one of the most interesting markets in this area of Morocco. Also note that this place hosts ceramic exhibitions, very famous. Around Place Makhzen, you will find various hotels, such as the Hotel Parador, in which you have to book early to find a place. If you want to book a hotel or a riad in this area of Chefchaouen, we advise you to book now, on this site.
