Cala Viola de Ponent
The meeting point will be the car park. Please be punctual (arrive 5 minutes early) so the group doesn't have to wait. From there, we will walk together to the observation spot.

What to expect
We will observe the cosmos from the shores of Menorca.
Taking advantage of the exceptional sky conditions of this Starlight Reserve and the island's magical atmosphere, we’ll immerse ourselves in the universe. Our certified guides will take you on a journey through space:
We will identify the main constellations visible that night.
- We will share mythological stories (Hercules, Andromeda, Cassiopeia, the Bears, Draco...).
- We will navigate the night sky using star-hopping techniques and apply the fundamentals of positional astronomy.
- We will observe deep-space objects through the telescope (open clusters, globular clusters, binary stars, and more).
- On moonlit nights, we will observe its seas and craters, learning about its formation and lore.
- We will reflect on how observing the cosmos is rooted in human essence, just as it has been since our beginnings.
- We will explore our place within the Milky Way and invite you to feel like part of the cosmic miracle.
- To wrap up, we will take a night photograph with the stars in the background.
