Tandem Paraglide flight from Signal Hill or Lions head.
Fly with an experienced instructor over the neighborhoods of Cape Town City. This is one of few places in the world where you can fly over a city, we like to call it Urban paragliding. Paragliding with an experienced instructor is fun and safe. We operate daily from either Signal Hill or Lions Head mountain. Flights are weather dependent and your pilot will give you the best flight possible according to the weather conditions of the day.
We will land in Seapoint at the Seapoint Promenade when flying from Signal Hill. For Lions Head Mountain flights we will land close to Camps Bay.
Lion's Head flights are only flyable when the wind is blowing from the Southwest.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We recommend that you take a taxi to our take off point, this will save some time in your day, because the drive back up could take up to 45min. On arrival at the Signal Hill viewpoint parking area, visit the paragliding enquiries stand and ask for Sky Safari. We will land at the Seapoint Promenade.
What to expect
During this instructional tandem paraglide flight you will learn the basics of paragliding while enjoying the great views of Cape Town. The feeling of flying with a paraglider is a weightless sensation, you will feel secure and comfortable while taking in the views during this fun adventure activity.
No experience is needed, because you will be flying with an experienced instructor. On arrival you will sign up, meet your instructor and receive your equipment. Once the equipment is on you will receive a flight briefing from the instructor.
Take off is easy, you will be asked to run a few meters with the instructor and paraglider connected to you, once in the air, sit back and enjoy the great feeling and the views below.
The flight will last between 7 and 25min, flight time depends on the wind speed and direction. Your instructor will give you the best flight possible. You will fly along the mountain and once you start losing height you will glide away from the mountain over the city. The views of Seapoint and the Atlantic Seaboard is amazing!
Landing is very easy, your instructor will land you safely on the grass field.
