Start in Locorotondo, the round “balcony” over the Itria Valley, where whitewashed streets and flower-scented corners set the mood. Ride through the historic center by e-bike, then head into the countryside on quiet roads lined with vineyards and dry-stone walls. Soon you reach the Apulian Aqueduct cycleway, a scenic path that follows one of southern Italy’s most impressive engineering works. Ride through oak woods, cross small bridges and canal sections, and enjoy photo stops with short stories about the people who made this ambitious project possible. As the route continues, the landscape opens to trulli in the countryside, ancient farms and masserias, and a peaceful pine forest where you can pause in the shade. Return to Locorotondo along country lanes, taking in wide views and the slow rhythm of rural Puglia. Join with your own e-bike at no extra cost, or use an e-bike provided on site with payment made locally (see “Exclusions”).
