    Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park

    At Assin Manso Slave River Park, travelers will encounter a significant historical site that served as a significant location during the transatlantic slave trade. Travelers will learn about the rivers role as a final bath for enslaved africans before they were sold and shipped off to their American slave masters. The park features a memorial to honor the memory of those who suffered during this dark period of history. It is also believed that once our brothers and sisters of the diaspora enter this river they reconnect with their ancestors and prayers are offered in their memory.
