  Iglesia de Santo Tome

  The Church of Santo Tomé is one of the most visited places in Toledo, both for its historical and religious importance and for the opportunity to contemplate one of the most outstanding works of El Greco, an artist whose connection with the city of Toledo is fundamental for his artistic legacy.   Synagogue Of Saint Mary The White

  It is one of the most important synagogues in the city and an outstanding example of Mudejar architecture in the Iberian Peninsula. Built in the early 13th century, during the period of Muslim domination in the region, the synagogue served as a place of worship for Toledo's Jewish community. Its architecture presents a mix of styles, including Mudejar, Romanesque and Gothic elements, which reflects the cultural coexistence in the city during that period. After the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492, the synagogue was converted into a Christian church. It is a Romanesque-Mudejar style temple and is considered one of the most important examples of this architectural style in Spain. The church was built at the end of the 12th century and is known for its octagonal plan, which differentiates it from other religious buildings of the time. The octagonal plan is believed to represent the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem and is a distinctive feature of this church.
