Please be aware driving time from wellington is approx. 2hrs but with stops on way with a 2 hr. visit to see the park with a 2 hr drive on return

    As we leave the Hutt Valley we climb for 15 minutes to the top of the rimutaka hill halfway to the Wairarapa to have a break and learn a little history about the road

    As we leave wellington, we Travel for approx. 30 minutes following the edge of the harbor and we follow the Hutt River which rambles down from upper Hutt

    We then drop down taking 15 minutes before we enter Featherston the first town in the Wairarapa this holds a museum to the pioneer days of the original train track

    We then travel for 30 minutes travelling through farming country passing through Greytown and Carterton on our way to Masterton

    We arrive in Masterton after travelling about 1 and 1/2hrs from wellington and continue onto our destination which is about 30 minutes away

    when we arrive, there will be a 1.5 hr. guided tour you will meet the Kiwi new Zealand's famous bird also feed eels and see kaka feeding and native ducks after the tour and lunch we head back to wellington
