Cinque Terre's vineyards are among the most extraordinary in the world - carved into near-vertical cliffs, inaccessible by road, harvested almost entirely by hand using a network of ancient monorails. The wines produced here - above all the celebrated Sciacchetrà - are unlike anything you will taste anywhere else. Your guide will walk you through the story of the vines and the tasting will do the rest.

2Cinque Terre
11:30 AM - 04:30 PM | Vernazza & Free Time in Cinque Terre Arrive in Vernazza - the jewel of the five villages and, for many travellers, the most beautiful small town in Italy. Walk the narrow medieval streets that tumble down to the harbour, where fishing boats bob beside the colourful facades that have made this coastline one of the most photographed in the world. Climb to the hilltop above for a panorama that stretches along the entire Cinque Terre coast. Visit the ancient church of Santa Margherita d'Antiochia, perched at the very edge of the sea. And then the afternoon is entirely yours - lunch at one of the seafront restaurants, a stroll to a neighbouring village, a browse through the artisan shops or simply a quiet hour by the water with a glass of local white wine.
