The excursion begins with a visit to the awe-inspiring Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Marvel at its exquisite Islamic architecture and one of the world's tallest minarets. (For entry, please dress modestly: Women are required to wear long sleeves that cover the wrists, ankle-length bottoms, and a headscarf. Men should wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts.)
We will stop at the Royal Opera House Muscat for a photo opportunity. This architectural masterpiece blends traditional Omani and modern design, serving as the premier hub for arts and culture and the first of its kind in the GCC. For a more in-depth experience, guests are encouraged to enter the Opera House. Tickets can be purchased at the Opera House entrance.
Next, we head to the bustling Mutrah Fish Market, where you’ll see the daily catch and get a glimpse of the local life in Muscat. It’s an authentic experience in the heart of the city.
A short walk takes us to Mutrah Souq, one of the oldest and most vibrant markets in Oman. Explore the maze of narrow alleyways filled with spices, jewelry, and traditional Omani goods.
We stop at the impressive Al Alam Palace for another photo opportunity. Located between the two historic forts, the palace is the official residence of His Majesty the Sultan of Oman.
The final stop on our excursion is the Mirani and Jalali forts, built in the 16th century to safeguard the city. These iconic landmarks provide a stunning backdrop for photos, showcasing their historical importance and strategic positioning.
Discover Omani royal luxury at the iconic Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton hotel. Nestled between mountains and sea, this stunning landmark offers rich heritage, elegant design, and breathtaking views.
