    Welcome to Argentina’s southernmost city! Ushuaia is a small town, really easy to get around on foot. The Yamanas, its first inhabitants, called it Ushuaia which means “protected bay” in their language. It was officially incorporated into the Republic of Argentina in 1884, and it soon became a penal colony, in order to establish a permanent Argentine settlement. Upon arrival at Ushuaia Airport, you will have a shared transfer to your hotel.

    We will pick you up from your hotel in the early afternoon and will drive you in a 4x4 on a small group shared Off-Road 5-hour tour. You will pass by beautiful lakes and through a wonderful valley surrounded by snowy peaks. We will drive through the Garibaldi Path; the only road crossing the chain of the Fuegian Andes and also a panoramic viewpoint from where we will see Lake Fagnano and Lake Escondido.

    Continue downhill and begin your off-road experience through the forest, along with a series of old paths approaching Lake Fagnano, the fifth largest in Argentina. As the afternoon sun tinges the mountains, the stops through the forest and the coast ensure the enjoyment of this landscape. Later, there will be free time to walk before comfortably having dinner in an exclusive refuge. At the end of the tour, you will be driven to your hotel. **We recommend having lunch before starting the activity. **Occasionally, one of the sections to or from the place where the 4x4 adventure takes place might be done in a minibus for added comfort and convenience for the passengers. **This tour operates only from October 15th to March 15th. **IMPORTANT: To take this tour, your arrival flight should land off at 12:00 PM or earlier.

    Ushuaia - Half-Day Tierra del Fuego National Park

    Tierra del Fuego National Park

    Today, we will pick you up from your hotel and start a shared 5-hour tour to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Soon after that you will get to your first stop: Ensenada Zaratiegui, Inside the Tierra del Fuego National Park; also known as “Bahía Ensenada”. The most relevant attractions in the area will be visited on foot, and in contact with Nature. Short and pleasant walks paths are an invitation to know in detail this paradise at the end of the world.

    Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego

    You will continue your trip by vehicle to Acigami Lake (or Roca Lake), Laguna Verde, Ovando River, Cormorant Archipelago, and also Lapataia Bay; the end of all roads in America. In these points of interest, you can make the most of your time, doing short and low-intensity walks. Following up, lunch will be served inside dining tents that protect from the wind and rain. At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel. **IMPORTANT: To take this tour, your departure flight should leave at 4:30 PM or later.

    At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to Ushuaia airport (shared service). From there, it’s time to head home or continue to wherever your Argentina adventure takes you next! **NOTES: Our itinerary is pretty flexible so if you need to add extra nights we can quote them for you.
