The game drive in Akagera National Park offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature, away from the bustle of the city. The park is home to the Big Five namely lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo as well as a variety of other wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and over 500 species of birds. Akagera National Park lies in eastern Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania. It's characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. In the southern part of the park, vast Lake Ihema is home to hippos and crocodiles.
