Along the way, you will pass historic buildings from the Tromsø Folklore Museum, including traditional boathouses and farm structures dating back to the 19th century. The route offers a perfect balance of nature, culture, and quiet Arctic surroundings.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Meet your guide at the parking area next to the Old Aquarium in Telegrafbukta, Tromsø. Your guide will welcome you and provide the snowshoe equipment before the hike starts. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure to ensure a smooth start.
What to expect
We begin at the parking area by the Old Aquarium in Telegrafbukta and walk down toward the sea, following the shoreline past historic buildings belonging to the Tromsø Folklore Museum. Along the way, you will see traditional boathouses and farm buildings dating back to the 19th century.
From there, we cross into the museum grounds and continue along peaceful forest trails through Folkeparken, offering a calm and sheltered Arctic nature experience. The route takes us through the forest and back toward the museum area before descending once more toward Telegrafbukta via the Nobile Monument.
The tour ends at the sledding hill overlooking Kvaløya, where we stop to enjoy warm drinks and snacks while taking in the beautiful fjord views.
