Travelers will be picked up in the morning from their hotel in Labuan Bajo and begin the overland journey toward Denge Village, located in the southern part of Flores. Upon arrival in Denge, travelers will prepare for a guided trek to Wae Rebo. The hike takes about 3 hours and follows forest paths and mountain trails. Along the way, travelers will walk through tropical vegetation and enjoy views of valleys and surrounding hills. After reaching Wae Rebo Village, travelers will participate in a traditional welcoming ritual (Waelu’u ceremony) conducted by the village elders. Travelers will then explore the village and see the traditional Mbaru Niang houses cone shaped communal houses that are central to the Manggarai way of life. The local guide will explain the village layout, architectural design, and daily activities of the community. In the late afternoon, travelers will have free time to walk around the village, take photographs, or interact with local residents.
After waking up in the cool mountain air, travelers will enjoy breakfast prepared by the local community. In the morning, travelers can observe village life, take photos of the surrounding landscape, and enjoy the calm atmosphere of Wae Rebo. Travelers will then begin the return trek back to Denge Village, following the same trail through the forest and hills. The descent takes approximately 2–3 hours. Upon arrival in Denge, travelers will continue the drive back to Labuan Bajo. The journey includes rest stops along the way when needed. The tour ends with a hotel drop-off in Labuan Bajo in the late afternoon or early evening.
