What to expect

In just 3 hours, visit a traditional market in Mexico City and learn how to make authentic Mexican salsas in a hands-on cooking workshop. A flavorful, fast-paced experience for food lovers!

We’ll start the experience in front of the iconic Palacio de Bellas Artes, then walk to the nearby 2 de Abril Market, the oldest public market in Mexico City. There, we’ll take a brief but vibrant walk through the stalls to discover different types of chiles, spices, and essential local ingredients.

Next, we’ll head to a private cooking studio, where you’ll take part in a practical salsa-making workshop. You’ll prepare three different salsas using traditional Mexican techniques such as fire-roasting, stone grinding, and blending.

We’ll finish the workshop with a tasting session, where you’ll sample your creations alongside totopos and a Mexican snacks to taste flavor profiles: spicy, sweet, smoky, and citrusy.

Take home a jar of your favorite salsa and a digital recipe book to recreate the flavors back home.

Short on time but want to experience the real taste of Mexico? This express culinary tour is perfect for travelers who want a quick and delicious immersion into Mexican food culture.
