Inside the heart of this neighbourhood, you'll find the covered market alleys where fresh seafood, butchers, vegetable sellers, and street food vendors all sit side by side in gloriously haphazard fashion. You'll graze on classics like steaming fish cake skewers, crispy fried chicken, fresh-rolled gimbap, and the market's famous tteokgalbi.
Many of Mangwon's vendors are second-generation, meaning they've truly refined their craft, and markets here aren't just about cheap street food anymore, but home to some of Korea's most sought-after ingredients and treats.
