The Ourika Valley is located only 30 km from Marrakech. It is a destination that will appeal to those who want to escape the bustle, buzz, and heat of the red city of Marrakech. Spend hours sitting at a café along the river, while your feet are actually in the water! Or, hike to the many waterfalls, and feel refreshed in the cool mountain water. Indeed, the Ourika Valley remained well preserved and is still authentic. It allows the visitor to discover a Moroccan mountain way-of-life that will be hard to find elsewhere.
There are also several places to visit while in the Valley:
- Setti Fatma – Nestled in a valley below the High Atlas Mountains, this village is the ideal place to stop for lunch, and take a hike to the 7 waterfalls above.

On the way up, you may have the opportunity to stop and visit the colorful and bustling Tnine Ourika (souk) Local market day. The biggest within the valley, sets each Monday. Peoples living around come to purchase their needs for the entire week ( incredible activity).

Amazigh ecomuseum: found in tafza town. it is a private social institution and a partner of the house of photography in marrakech. this gallery was founded on april 2009 taking after the activity of patrick and hamid mergani manach. it highlits the amazigh culture through a collection of photos, ceramics, jewelery, mats and weavings.
