A certified Ishigaki Island guide and professional photographer will guide you through the night sky using a green laser pointer to explain the constellations, while capturing stunning portraits of you against a perfect starry backdrop. All photos are professionally edited on a computer and delivered as high-resolution digital files. Enjoy a first-rate therapeutic experience under the stars.
In 2018, Ishigaki Island was designated as Japan’s first International Dark Sky Place. With significantly less light pollution than the main island of Okinawa, you can see 84 of the 88 constellations, the Southern Cross, and countless shooting stars. Let our official guide take you to the best spot for an unforgettable night!

What to expect
Your guide is a professional photographer who is also a certified Starry Sky Sommelier®. Using a green laser pointer, they will highlight constellations and explain the night sky in fluent English while capturing stunning, high-quality portraits of you. We are the only tour operator on Ishigaki Island offering a full English stargazing photo experience!
Within 1 week of the tour, you will receive professionally edited, high-resolution digital photos to treasure forever.
(A "Star Sommelier" is a certified guide trained to help you discover and enjoy the mysteries of the universe, accredited by Yamagata University.)
