After breakfast you will begin your safari with a stop in Arusha Town for any last minute purchases. Afterwards you will head to Lake Manyara National Park. This small park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible bird life in the acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. Manyara also has the largest concentration of baboon and tree-climbing lion. In the evening, you will check-in at the Sun fig tree campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.
The Ngorongoro Crater is home to an amazing diversity of fauna. After an early breakfast, you will check-out and begin your descent into the Ngorongoro crater. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area hosts a vast variety of animals, which include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephant. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is it’s dense population of predators, including lion, hyena, jackal, cheetah and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes require a trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater. A large number of flamingo, hippo and a variety of water birds can usually be seen here. Late in the afternoon, you will ascend back to the crater rim and travel back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your choice of accommodations for dinner and your overnight stay or at the airport for your flight home. This is where your safari will end.
