Spend time with our Part 107-certified instructor Ken, as he walks through the basics of drone flight. No prior experience required! We provide the drone hardware and software, and will customize the session for your enjoyment. If you love working with and learning how to utilize new technologies and have a passion for aviation, then you will love flying drones!

Meeting point
Park in the main parking lot at Green Spring Park and look for your instructor Ken driving a silver Volvo XC40.
End point
This activity ends back at the meeting point.
What to expect
During a typical session you will:
- Meet with an expert and friendly instructor in a convenient outdoor location, like a park or athletic field
- Learn on a popular consumer drone provided by the instructor (we primarily train using DJI equipment)
- Walk through the drone flight app
- Have 45-60 minutes of hands-on flying time to master orientation, basic flight maneuvers and more advanced flight skills
- Learn how to handle obstacles such as lost GPS, low battery charge or emergencies
- Practice flying under various intelligent flight modes
- Capture photo and video at your flight location
- Understand best practices of being a safe drone pilot
- Ask questions about regulations, software, flight operations management, and more
