Itinerary

Duration: 17 days (approximately)
    Day 1

Motorcycle ride to Plitvička Jezera (HR)

    1 stop
  • 1
    Plitvice Lakes National Park

After our breakfast together in our hotel, the journey begins after a short briefing. The well-developed but very winding road leads us north to what is probably the most famous place in Croatia, the "Plitvice Lakes National Park" (HR). The journey there is about 215 km. This tour will show us great landscapes and views. We will also stay for the night nearby. After requisitioning our hotel rooms, we will then visit the national park together. Due to the special beauty of the park and its lakes and waterfalls, "Plitvice" (HR) is one of the most beautiful and popular excursion areas in southern Europe. This famous national park was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. These lakes are an absolute must-see.

5 hours Admission ticket not included
  • Day 2

    Motorcycle ride to Skradin (HR)

    2 stops
  • 2
    Krka National Park

The next morning we will ride back to the Adriatic coast via small serpentines. On the way down to sea level we will have a wonderful view, and then we will come back up to the "Krka Waterfalls" (HR). Our journey ends this day after 285 km in "Skradin" (HR), which means waterfall, at the foot of the "Krka National Park" (HR). After checking in at the hotel located right there, we will discover the breathtaking beauty of the national park. If you want, you can swim in the clear water and see Europe's first hydroelectric power station. The Krka River rises in the "Dinara Mountains" (HR) on the border between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. From the source to the mouth in the Adriatic Sea near "Šibenik" (HR), the river is only 73 km long. More than half of this is in the national park.

3 hours Admission ticket not included
  • 3
    Skradinski Buk Waterfall

“Skradin” (HR) is a small town with a pretty town center and a tiny marina. The entrance to the park in “Skradin” (HR) is therefore an ideal base for exploring a large part of the park.

2 hours Admission ticket not included
  • Day 3

    Motorcycle ride to Omiš (HR)

    1 stop
  • 4
    Cetina

Starting from “Skradin” (HR), today we will go a short distance along the coast, the well-known, winding and very impressive “Jadranska Magistrala” (HR). It was built in the 1960s and 1970s and is considered one of the most beautiful and picturesque coastal roads in the world. Anyone who knows it and has driven it knows what I mean. But it is not just along the coast, because near “Trogir” (HR) we turn left and ride up into the mountains to “Izvor Cetine” (HR), called the blue spring. The “Izvor Cetine” (HR), or also translated as the Cetina spring, is a beautiful blue spring in the Croatian highlands and is located near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, northeast of Split. After a short rest, we continue down the valley to the coast to “Omiš” (HR). On this third day of our trip we have covered another 262 km and will spend the night in the idyllic town of “Omiš”.

    2 hours Admission ticket free
  • Day 4

    Motorcycle ride to Dubrovnik (HR)

    3 stops
  • 5
    Kravice Falls

Today we set off as usual at 8:00 a.m. After a hearty breakfast we continue south, again a short way along the "Jadranska Magistrala" (HR). But not as far as Neum (BIH), instead we leave the coastal road much earlier and turn left, up into the mountains and cross the border to Bosnia and Herzegovina, up in the mountains. Today our journey takes us to the "Kravice Waterfalls" (BIH). If we find the time, we will definitely not miss the opportunity to swim in the wonderful and clear water.

    2 hours Admission ticket free
  • 6
Old Bridge Area of the Old City of Mostar

Then we continue on our 296 km long journey to the “Old Bridge” in “Mostar” (BIH).

    2 hours Admission ticket free
  • 7
    Old Town

Late in the evening we will move into our rooms, back in Croatia, on the coast in "Dubrovnik" (HR). We will also take the opportunity to walk to the "Old Town" (HR) afterwards. An absolute MUST. We will also have dinner together there.

  • Day 5

    Motorcycle ride to Žabljak (MNE)

    3 stops
  • 8
    Bay of Kotor

There is a lot to experience again today, a long tour of 315 km lies ahead of us. Past many lakes and mountains - we move along winding, beautiful roads and cross the border into Montenegro. Our primary goal, past "Kotor" (MNE), will be "Lipska pećina" (MNE).

    Admission ticket free
  • 9
    Lipa cave

The Lipa Cave is one of the largest caves in Montenegro and the only cave that can be visited. The karst cave consists of a system of corridors, caves and passages of a good 2.5 km, part of which is used by an underground river. Later we head into the mountainous interior, further to the "Durmitor Mountains" (MNE) and national park. Simply fantastic. Why this country was called Montenegro (Black Mountain) is impressively shown to us here.

    Admission ticket free
  • 10
    Durmitor National Park

The trip to the “Durmitor National Park” (it goes up to 1,900 m above sea level) is the highlight of today. We will spend the night in the highest town, called “Žabljak” (MNE), almost in the middle of Montenegro.

    Admission ticket free
  • Day 6

    Motorcycle ride to Budva (MNE)

    3 stops
  • 11
    Durdevica Tara Bridge

The next morning, we continue through the "Tara Canyon" (MNE) back towards the Adriatic Sea. We will now cross the border to Albania. Before we set off on the long journey, however, we must definitely see the famous "Đurđevića Tara Bridge" (MNE) with a view of the river "Tara". The gorge is hardly known, and yet it is the deepest gorge in Europe.

    1 hour Admission ticket free
  • 12
    Shkodra Lake

Once again, the roads in the “Durmitor National Park” (MNE) will delight us. On the way further southwest to the coast, we pass the “Shkodra Lake” (AL) and return to Montenegro for the time being, as we visit the “Fortress Old Bar” (MNE).

    Admission ticket free
  • 13
    Old Fortress, Stari Bar

To avoid any misunderstandings, this is NOT a bar, but rather an old fortress. The fortress is the oldest fortress in the country and is located below the mountain "Rumija" (MNE) on a steep cliff. The fortress tells a turbulent story of the many civilizations that once inhabited the area. We will spend the night in a small coastal town called "Budva" (MNE). Today we have covered another 292 km.

    1 hour Admission ticket free
  • Day 7

Motorcycle ride to Lezhë District (AL)

    2 stops
  • 14

Today we have 298 km ahead of us. We have planned a longer riding time for this, as we will be travelling on very winding roads. We ride on to Albania. We pass the "Shkodra Lake" (MNE), where the river "Morača" (MNE) flows into it, and cross the only bridge over the lake to continue on to Albania along the south-western part of the lake. The "Shkodra Lake" is the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula and - depending on your point of view - the largest lake in southern Europe, alongside Lake Garda. The name used here is derived from the previously used Italian name of the Albanian city of Shkodra, which is located on the south-eastern tip of the lake.

    Admission ticket free
  • 15

We pass many other small lakes and rivers on our exciting journey to the "Lezhë District" (AL). We are drawn inland to the vicinity of the "Fierza Lake" (AL). We will spend the night together in a hotel in the "Lezhë District" (AL). After this long ride on the bikes, everyone deserves a rest. But don't worry, the next morning we continue promptly at 8:00 a.m. It is not far to our first free day on one of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic coast.

    Admission ticket free
  • Day 8

    Motorcycle ride to Ksamil (AL)

    1 stop
  • 16
    Butrint National Park

As promised, the journey continues southwards across Albania on a distance of 342 km. The riding time will be around 6 hours. On our journey to the "Ksamil-Butrint National Park" (AL), we have the opportunity to learn a lot about the culture of the people in the Albanian interior. We ride along the mountains, through valleys and again along numerous rivers with impressive fauna and flora. We avoid any stretch of the coast for this tour because the destination is at the end, the "Ksamil National Park" (AL). Once we get there, we will check into our hotel and treat ourselves to a longer rest. We have planned the rest break for 1 day because we still have a long way to go. The next and important destination will be "Durrës" (AL), where we can take the ferry to Italy. We have 2 days left for this.

    Admission ticket free
  • Day 9

Free day on the beach in Ksamil (AL)

    1 stop
  • 17

Today is a day off, as promised. Today the plan is to relax all day: Everyone can do what they want, e.g. explore the area on their own, go swimming or snorkeling, laze around and enjoy life. Exchange experiences of what they have already experienced. Drink a beer and tell stories and jokes from childhood...or whatever. No matter what you do, only one thing is important: it should be fun. But please always remember that we need to be fit and rested the next morning, because things will continue as usual at 8:00 a.m.

    1 day Admission ticket free
  • Day 10

    Motorcycle ride to Berat (AL)

    1 stop
  • 18

The lazy life is over today and we want to experience more. As already mentioned, we now have 2 days to reach our ferry in "Durrës". Our journey takes us back to the north of Albania, towards "Durrës". We ride through the interior of the country, or rather, through the center of Albania, past the "Tomorri Mountain". And we will make a stopover in "Berat" and spend the night there. It is only 204 km to "Berat", but the route will not be an excursion. The pure riding time without complications will be around 7 hours, actually not a problem, because as always, the journey is the destination. We will be rewarded for these little exertions with the best memories and have truly earned a beer together in the evening in the hotel in "Berat". But always keep in mind that we will continue the next morning at 8:00 a.m. and we all want to get home safely, because that is always the top priority over everything else.

    Admission ticket free
  • Day 11

Motorcycle ride to the port of Durrës (AL)

    1 stop
  • 19

We leave “Berat” (AL) again with a clear head and a goal for the day in mind. As always, we are focused on what lies ahead. Our goal today is the port of “Durrës”. The entire route today is only 160 km and that gives us the opportunity to visit the “Elbasan Castle” (AL) in Elbasan and the “Grand Park of Tirana” (AL) in Tirana. We will have enough time today for everything worth seeing and will make full use of this time. Check-in for the crossing to Italy will be at around 7:30 p.m. and the ferry will leave the port of “Durrës” at around 10 p.m. And while the ferry drives by itself without our intervention and takes us to “Bari” (IT), we will sleep in our cabins and arrive rested in “Bari” the next morning at 8 a.m. Life can be so simple and comfortable.

    Admission ticket free
  • Day 12

    Motorcycle ride to Caianello (IT)

    1 stop
  • 20

We leave the port of "Bari" immediately after our arrival and a cozy cup of coffee in one of the small cafes at the port and head west, across the southern part of Italy, to later head north, or rather towards "Tuscany", after our next overnight stay. We ride through typical old Italian towns on the way to our first stopover in Italy, namely in "Caianello" (IT) and 309 kilometers covered. We will also spend the night there.

    Admission ticket free
  • Day 13

Motorcycle ride to Lake Bracciano (IT)

    2 stops
  • 21

Another 272 km lie ahead of us on the 13th day of our trip. We ride through small Italian and typical villages again. Visit the "Castle Boncompagni Viscogliosi" (IT) and "Cascata di Isola del Liri" (IT). Enough time for lunch, enough time to explore the village. We continue towards the northwest, and ride close to Rome, but avoid the traffic and the hustle and bustle of this city. Today's destination will be the "Lago di Bracciano" (IT), because we will also spend the night there not far from the promenade. This day will also be an unforgettable day.

    1 hour Admission ticket free
  • 22
    Rome

This day will also be an unforgettable day. They say that many roads lead to Rome, but we decided not to do that today and preferred to use the roads away from the hustle and bustle and, above all, to explore. Anyone who has ever ridden through Rome knows why it makes more sense not to ride through Rome with a group of motorbikes. Even if, for example, the Vatican City or the Colosseum were within reach.

    Admission ticket free
  • Day 14

    Motorcycle ride to Monteriggioni (IT)

    2 stops
  • 23

Finally the time has come. We are leaving the certainly beautiful “Lago di Bracciano”, but are now on our way to one of the most beautiful parts of Italy. Of course the Italian Alps and Tyrol have a lot to offer. But Tuscany is just Tuscany. Nowhere in Italy are there more picturesque places, regions and landscapes than here, here in Tuscany. So we take it easy on the 195 km that lie ahead of us. We just want to enjoy this landscape. We are heading towards “Lago di Bolsena” (IT), where we will ride a long way along the lake.

    Admission ticket free
  • 24
    Val D'Orcia

Then begins the region of “Val d' Orcia” (IT) and further up north the “Province of Siena” (IT). You simply have to experience it all.

  • Day 15

Motorcycle ride to the port of Ancona (IT)

    4 stops
  • 25

Unfortunately, we are heading back to the starting point. We have covered a long distance. We have now covered around 3500 kilometers by road and traveled through a total of 5 countries. Today the last stage begins. We are leaving Tuscany towards the port of "Ancona". Before we say goodbye to our last overnight stop, however, we will take a look at the famous "Duomo di Siena" (IT).

    1 hour Admission ticket free
  • 26

Then we continue to the “Lago Trasimeno” (IT), which we will ride along

    Admission ticket free
  • 27

Not to forget the passage through the “Parco Regionale del Monte Cucco” (IT). In the late afternoon we arrive at the port of Ancona.

    Admission ticket free
  • 28

On this day we were able to enjoy motorcycling for another 268 km. Everything was prepared for check-in on the ferry back to Croatia at 5 p.m. Because later is often too late. At around 7 p.m. we set sail for our crossing to Split. As usual, we will sleep in a cabin on the ferry today and will arrive in Split early the next morning.

    Admission ticket free
  • Day 16

Return to the starting point, Meet&Greet location in Trogir

    1 stop
  • 29
    Split

Having arrived at the port of Split at 7:00 a.m., we will be ready to go again at 8:00 a.m. and leave the port in the direction of our starting point for the first day. There we will park the motorbikes and sit down together for a cup of coffee. If you already want to go home and have booked a return flight for that day, this is of course up to you. All other participants with a little more time on their hands are welcome to join us for another day. We are really looking forward to it. No matter what you decide, we will definitely take you back to the hotel where you stayed the first night after your arrival. There we will have dinner together.

    Admission ticket free
  • Day 17

Another day stay in Trogir with farewell dinner

Unfortunately, it is then time to say goodbye. With many wonderful memories, you will make your way home again.
