This is a private tour only for you and it includes private transport. The Nevado of Toluca is the 4th highest mountain in Mexico. Now is the season of winter and snow. This is located almost 3 hours away from Mexico city. This is the only extinct volcano with lagoons inside its crater. During our tour you will know more about this mountain.
The maximum height in this tour is 4400 meters above the sea level. From the crater you will have a beautiful view point of the rest of the mountain, landscapes and the lagoons named “Lagoon of the Sun” and “Lagoon of the Moon”. This was a sacred place in prehispanic times.
This hike is easy but we will have some ascents making the hike harder like the peak called "Humboldt" from where you will have an amazing view of the lagoons and far away if the sky is clear We can see the 2nd and 3rd highest mountains. Now (December 2023) it is cold and winter season and the temperature is around 4° C.

The pick up at your accommodation will be at 7 am. The transfer until the mountain is around 3 hours. Now we are in winter and cold season 4° C. We have snow on the mountain and depends the day we can get the crater from where we can see the lagoons. You will enjoy the snow and the hike. Depending the amount of snow We can arrive the last parking zone at 4150 meters (13616 ft) where is the starting hike until the crater at 4280 meters (14042 ft). If the snow is a lot the authorities closes the access and We will do the hike meters below.
