Wat Phan Tao is a Buddhist temple (wat) located in the old city of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Built in the 14th century, it was originally used as a palace before being converted into a monastery. The temple is particularly notable for its wooden ordination hall (viharn) made entirely of teak wood, which is unusual as most Thai temples are constructed from brick and concrete.
