Meeting and pickup

Meeting point

We’ll rendezvous at the main entrance of Melbourne Town Hall on Swanston St, then meander down some of Melbourne’s most vibrant laneways and through Chinatown. Our final destination is a popular haunt for Melburnians who appreciate and seek out fine food and wine.

End point
This activity ends back at the meeting point.

What to expect

We’ll stroll together down hidden laneways while looking at a diverse collection of street art off the beaten track. I’ll give you a flavour of who the artists are, their inspiration and process.

Then, as we continue our walk through Chinatown and a historic area (formerly known as Little Lon), we’ll dive into Melbourne's past and its immense growth during the Gold Rush. I’ll share fascinating snippets about the colourful characters who settled here and the unimaginable challenges they faced.

We’ll then visit a truly iconic wine bar, steeped in its own history, for a wine tasting of three old and new world wines, accompanied by Portuguese-inspired tapas. Picture dark wood interiors and cherry leather seats under a towering blackboard of handwritten wines.

You’ll have the opportunity to capture the quirk, creativity and beauty of this grand city, and I’ll point out some of my favourite wine bars that you can return to.
