As this is a half day tour why not start or end your day with a visit to the town of Albert with its restaurants , shops and Somme 1916 Museum.

Unless at a pre arranged location the pick up point is outside Albert train station which is a short train journey from Amiens or Arras. There is also free parking adjacent to the station for those traveling in by car.

You will start your time at Villers Bretonneux by visiting the cemetery from where the Australian unknown soldier was taken. Your guide will explain the background of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and its continued work.

Pay your respects at the Australian Memorial to the Missing with over 11,000 names of soldiers with no known grave.
