We will cross the "Green Line" into Northern Cyprus – a region divided since 1974. We’ll head toward the crossing point and enter the northern part of the island. Driving along the “ghost town” – a sealed-off area where entry is forbidden – we’ll arrive at the only accessible section of Varosha. Here, you’ll have the rare opportunity to walk through the abandoned city and down to the stunning sandy beach, once a bustling paradise where people swam and sunbathed carefree.
Our next stop is the ancient city-kingdom of Salamis, where you can wander among the majestic ruins, soak in the views, or even take a swim during the summer months.
We’ll visit the tomb of Saint Barnabas, the Apostle who brought Christianity to Cyprus. You also have the option to explore the nearby monastery dedicated to him.
We’ll conclude the day exploring the old town of Famagusta, surrounded by impressive Venetian walls. You’ll have time to take photos, do some shopping, or simply relax with a coffee.
Pick up is possible from the main hotels in Protaras, Ayia Napa, Larnaca. Please advise your accommodation to provide you the nearest possible pick up point. Pick up from private accommodation is not available.
