This activity is unique because it combines a responsible elephant experience, local rubber culture, and a peaceful waterfall stop in one Khao Lak tour.
Guests will learn about the elephants in our care, their daily routines, diet, and natural behavior in a respectful sanctuary setting. The tour also includes a traditional rubber tapping demonstration, offering insight into local village life in Southern Thailand.
The experience ends with a short 20–30 minute stop near Sai Rung Waterfall for photos and time to enjoy the natural surroundings. The waterfall visit may be adjusted depending on weather, water level, and local conditions.
There is no elephant riding, no shows, no tricks, no forced bathing, and no activities that disturb elephants.

Please be ready at your hotel lobby 10 minutes before your confirmed pickup time.
Please arrive at Khao Lak Elephant Sanctuary by KES at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. Show your voucher to our staff upon arrival. Free parking is available on-site.
What to expect
Learn about the elephants in our care, their daily routines, diet, and natural behavior in a peaceful sanctuary setting. Guests may have the opportunity to observe the elephants and assist with natural food preparation under staff guidance, depending on the elephants’ needs and comfort on the day.
Visit a traditional rubber plantation and learn how rubber is collected as part of local village life in Southern Thailand.
The tour also includes a short 20–30 minute stop near Sai Rung Waterfall for photos and time to enjoy the natural surroundings. The waterfall visit may be adjusted depending on weather, water level, and local conditions.
This experience does not include elephant riding, shows, tricks, forced bathing, or activities that disturb elephants.

All elephant-related activities are guided by the sanctuary team and depend on the elephants’ comfort, safety, and natural behavior on the day. If an activity cannot be conducted exactly as planned due to the elephants’ choice, mood, or wellbeing, the itinerary may be adjusted to a suitable observation-based experience. These adjustments are part of our animal-welfare-focused approach and are not considered a service failure or grounds for a refund.
