This tour combines Khao Lak’s peaceful mangrove scenery with a meaningful elephant sanctuary visit in one well-rounded day. After hotel pickup, guests will explore the Sung Nae River in Takua Pa, often known as the “Little Amazon,” by kayak while looking out for wildlife such as monkeys, birds, and other native animals.
The experience also includes a visit to a local market in Takua Pa before continuing to Khaolak Elephant Sanctuary. At the sanctuary, guests will respectfully observe elephants in a welfare-focused environment and learn about their care, natural behavior, and responsible elephant tourism from a knowledgeable guide.
With hotel pickup, a mangrove kayak experience, local market visit, elephant observation, and one included lunch, this tour is ideal for travelers who want a mix of nature, culture, and responsible wildlife education in Khao Lak. The elephant sanctuary visit is observation-based and does not include riding, shows, tricks, bathing, or forced interaction.

1The Little Amazon
Get picked up from your hotel in Khao Lak before heading north. Enjoy some sightseeing along the way and arrive at Takuapa District. Set off in a canoe rowed by the local crew in the Little Amazon. Sail through the swamp forest, surrounded by hundred-year-old banyan trees and mangrove forests. Keep an eye out for reptiles and various birds on the canoe trip also.

2Khaolak Ethical Elephant Sanctuary (KES)
Go on a scenic drive through beautiful scenery to the Elephant Sanctuary. Meet your Eco English-speaking guide and learn with observe a little about the elephants. Lunch will be provide during watching the free roaming elephants
