    Mount Nebo

    Drive 1 hour to Mt. Nebo, the final point for Prophet Moses after wandering 40 years in the desert. This is the place where he gazed at the Promised Land before he died here. Beside the panoramic view overlooking the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land, you see on Mount Nebo the remains of an early Christian monastery.

    The Dead Sea is with 400 meters below sea level the lowest point on earth. Visit one of the beaches with changing room and showers.     Today explore the splendid red rose city Petra, established around the 6th century BC by the Nabataean Arabs, and a major caravan centre during the Hellenistic and Roman period. With the guide pass the narrow gorge, the so called Siq, rewarded by a glimpse of the most beautiful monument, the Treasury, known also as Al Khazneh. Passing the Street of Facades you see more of the great architecture, mostly carved in the coloured sandstone, the Urn and the Silk Tomb, the Theatre and the Grand Temple. The guide says farewell to you and you walk the same way back to the entrance gate.
