Most of the visitors to South Korea consider exploring the DMZ and tend to choose Gyeonggi-do routes that are mostly commercial, but this tour would likely be much more private and less crowded. Furthermore, this is an hour's drive away from the MT Seoraksan, so if you plan to visit the Seoraksan, you would be able to enjoy two attractions on one itinerary. Additionally, on the way back, you can enjoy North Korean cuisine for lunch and grab a chance to observe traditional Korean architecture. This area was formerly part of North Korean territory before the Korean War.

You are going to visit the Korean War exhibition hall before exploring the border of North Korea. It would be much better meaningful to look at the North territory after you felt how the war was terrifying.

The DMZ became a symbol of the final divided nation in the world. You will learn how the DMZ was set up after the war, how much pain people have been feeling due to the separation, and what perspectives toward the North exist in South Korea.

4Goseong-gun
Enjoy the North Korean cuisine. This area used to be North Korean territory before the Korean War and a lot of people who evacuated from North settled out. You can enjoy genuine North food(Vegetarian food available)

5Goseong Wanggok Maeul
This is a special village where you can observe the Korean traditional architecture. People living here keep their house traditional way instead they get subsidize from the government. It is hard to see Korean traditional architecture because most of the traditional was destroyed since the Korean War in South Korea. But here you can observe genuine traditional architecture because this is a real residence living people in the traditional way.
