Your adventure from Marrakech to the desert begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or riad around 7:30am. As we leave the city behind, we’ll head into the scenic High Atlas Mountains, climbing winding roads and passing traditional Berber villages perched along the hillsides. Along the way, we’ll stop at the famous Tizi N'Tichka Pass—the highest road pass in Morocco at 2,260 meters—where you can take in breathtaking views and snap some great photos. We’ll then continue to the iconic Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs. You’ll have time to explore the ancient mud-brick village, walk through its narrow alleys, and climb up to the old granary for sweeping views of the surrounding valley. After the visit, we’ll drive to nearby Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara and a famous film location, where we’ll stop for a relaxing lunch before continuing the journey.
In the afternoon, we’ll make our way through the picturesque Valley of Roses, known for its fragrant fields and local rosewater products, and drive along the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. You’ll see dramatic landscapes, traditional architecture, and plenty of photo-worthy moments along the way. By early evening, we’ll arrive in the beautiful Dades Valley, where you’ll check into a comfortable hotel surrounded by rocky canyons and peaceful nature. You’ll enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, relax after a full day of exploring, and get ready for the next leg of your desert adventure.
After breakfast at your hotel in the Dades Valley, we’ll hit the road and continue through the southern landscapes of Morocco. The drive is filled with striking views of deep canyons, winding roads, and scattered Berber villages carved into the mountainsides. Our main stop in the morning is the stunning Todgha Gorges, a dramatic series of limestone cliffs rising up to 300 meters high. Here, you’ll have time to walk through the narrow canyon, enjoy the cool air, and take some amazing photos. This area is a favorite for nature lovers, climbers, and photographers alike.
After exploring the gorge, we’ll continue toward the Sahara, passing through desert towns and palm-filled valleys. We’ll stop for a relaxing lunch in Tinjdad, a quiet town known for its palm groves and friendly atmosphere. It’s a great place to rest before reaching the edge of the dunes. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, your camel caravan will be waiting to take you on a peaceful ride into the desert, just as the sun begins to set. The colors of the sand dunes at this time are unforgettable. After about an hour, you’ll reach your desert camp, where you'll be welcomed with mint tea and Berber hospitality. Enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, followed by local music around the fire. Then settle into your private tent for a peaceful night in the heart of the Sahara.
On your final day, wake early to watch the breathtaking sunrise over the Merzouga dunes, then enjoy breakfast before riding your camel back to the village. From there, we’ll start the journey back to Marrakech, driving through the stunning landscapes of southern Morocco. Along the way, we’ll pass through rocky plateaus and the lush Draa Valley, dotted with palm groves, kasbahs, and traditional Berber villages. We’ll stop for lunch before continuing through Ouarzazate and crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass. You’ll arrive back in Marrakech by evening, with a comfortable drop-off at your hotel or riad, completing your unforgettable 3-day desert adventure.
