Enjoy panoramic views of the Chachagua Forest Reserve and the guide will be able to take photographs of different animals, including birds and sloths. The tour also includes a short walk to visit a 60-meter-high ceiba tree. Our guides have extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna and will provide explanations about nature during the horseback tour. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch, which is a part of a cooking class.

You can also roast your coffee and make tortillas at the end of the tour. The tour covers a total of 5 kilometers around our rainforest reserve and is highly recommended for families and nature lovers. Guests can collect ingredients during the horseback ride to cook their lunch at the typical Don Lelo ranch

What to expect

With a duration of 4 hours, this guided tour includes lunch, milking dairy cows to obtain milk, and using it for the crafting of artisanal cheese. You will also visit a river that serves as a natural pool with crystal-clear water, where you can swim and use natural mud as an exfoliant after the horseback ride.

Our clients will enjoy more than 5 kilometers of horseback riding, on this tour you will be able to learn about the flora and fauna of the area.

8:15 am Departure to horses’ stables, how to ride a horse , talk by the tour guide.

8:30 am Departure to the farm for milk a cow at don Lelo Farm.

10:00 am Ariival at the farm and cooking class.
