Combine an off-road UTV adventure and kayaking on a unique half-day tour through the spectacular landscapes of Black Canyon. Ride as a passenger in a UTV to or from Cranes Nest Canyon, then paddle 4 miles along the Colorado River with a guided stop at the stunning Emerald Cave, plus opportunities to spot wildlife and swim at a riverside beach. Enjoy lunch, snacks, and bottled water as you experience this unforgettable stretch of the Colorado River from both land and water.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
You will receive a text message or WhatsApp message the day before your tour with your exact pickup time (up to 2 hours before the start of the tour) and directions to the pickup location with photos to help you find it. If you are a self drive guest, you will receive detailed instructions on where to meet us, what time, and how to find us.
Guests will meet at our office located inside the Hoover Dam Lodge and Casino. We are located on the first floor past the hotel reception and the main lobby bar on the right hand side.

1Emerald Cove
Make a stop at the famous Emerald Cave, where sunlight filtering into the cave can illuminate the water with its distinctive emerald-green glow. The intensity and color of the glow vary depending on the time of year and the sun’s position in the sky, so every visit can look a little different.

2Willow Beach
Depending on the direction of your tour, you’ll either begin or finish your adventure at Willow Beach, a scenic launch point along the Colorado River surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of Black Canyon.

3Colorado River
Paddle along the Colorado River through the dramatic landscapes of Black Canyon, keeping watch for wildlife along the riverbanks and canyon walls. You may spot Bighorn Sheep, Bald Eagles, Coyotes, and other wildlife as you make your way downstream.

- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Must be able to complete a 15-20 minute hike through a slot canyon, where you may need to use your hands to scramble over rocks.
