From Curubande Park, turn left onto Ave 1. Drive for approximately 1.2 km, then make a slight right turn. You will pass Poza Los Congos on your right. Drive for 2.9 km and turn right. Drive 1.4 km and make a slight left turn. After 1.2 km, your destination will be on the left-hand side.

Hike begins at the base of Cañas Dulces Hill, from Highway #1, you can admire its perfect cone-shaped silhouette, resembling a small volcano rising from the savanna. Journey starts on a well-defined trail at the base of the hill. The climb gradually ascends with an average 45% incline, becoming more challenging step by step as you make your way along the 1-mile (1.6 km) trail to the summit. Around one hour to complete, offering both a rewarding physical challenge and breathtaking scenery along the way. Reaching the top is an unforgettable experience. From the summit, you’ll witness one of the most spectacular sunsets in Costa Rica. As night falls, sky transforming into a dazzling display of stars and galaxies, creating a peaceful and almost surreal atmosphere.Walking under the night sky, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the mystique of the forest. Along the way, you may encounter local wildlife, making this a unique and immersive experience in the natural beauty of Guanacaste.
