In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and be transferred to the Panda Breeding and Research Center(approximately 50 minutes), a dwelling home to over 100 giant pandas. We will arrive here at about 9:00 a.m. when most of them are active. It is a perfect time to observe their living habits when they do different things--eating, snoozing, tumbling and climbing trees. There are also panda kindergartens and nursery rooms, where you can see many adorable baby pandas .
Afterwards,we'll drive to Leshan (approximately 2 hours )to see Leshan Giant Buddha, the largest and tallest stone-carved Buddha statue in the world. Over 1,300 years ago, the Giant Buddha was built to bless the passing boats. For several decades, it has attracted flocks of travelers to witness the grand Buddha statue. When you arrive here, you can climb to the mountain top to have a closer look of the Giant Buddha or go on a cruise to catch a panoramic view of it.
This day is all for sightseeing in Mount. Emei. Take a tour bus to the mountain top. Once you reach at Leidongping, keep on walking to take a cable car and you will meet many naughty monkeys along the way. Then take a cable car up to the Golden Summit, where you can see an towering muti-faced golden statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. It is a good place to enjoy a bird’s eye- view of Mount Emei and surrounding. Explore the beautiful scenery on the mountain top and enjoy the Buddhist Culture in the Huangzang Temple nearby. Afterwards, descend to the Monastery of Ten Thousand Years, an efficacious temple where you can make wishes here. Afterwards, take a relaxing walking trip downhill and enjoy the natural beauty of the sub-tropical forest along the way.
In the morning, you will be driven two and a half hours to Chengdu Broad and Narrow Alley. It is a microcosm of the past of the ancient but vibrant city. Taking a stroll here, you can not only appreciate the quaint buildings but also taste delicious local food. It is a good place to experience Chengdu People’s laid-back lifestyle and feel the profound history of Chengdu.
Afterwards ,we walk to People’s Park. It is an epitome of Chengdu’s laid-back atmosphere,where you can have a taste of the authentic Chinese tea and watch local people indulging themselves in playing mahjong and having casual chats. You can also have a look of the “matchmaking fair”, where you can see desperate parents search for a partner for their single children.
