Set off for a long drive to Ankanin’ny Nofy (also called Palmarium) settled along the man-made Lake Rasoabe along the waterway called the Canal of Pangalanes. Arriving at Manambato, we depart to Palmarium in a speed boat taking roughly an hour.
Palmarium has a reserve where some species of lemurs are found there. This is the best place to see the aye-aye and other species of animals. Beside, Palmarium is a haven for relaxation, with its pretty seaside and lush green vegetation. You will surely enjoy the visit walking through the forest while accompanied by your local guide who will help you spot as many animals as possible. A group of indri, sifakas, red lemurs, black lemurs, crowned lemurs and black and white ruffed lemurs can be observed easily
After breakfast, embark on a fast motor boat heading to Andasibe, Upon arrival, explore the Maromizaha Reserve, rich in biodiversity and stunning landscapes. In the afternoon, visit the famous Vakona Reserve where five species of lemurs such as the black and white ruffed lemur, the browns, the ring-tails, the modest eastern bamboo lemur and the diademed sifaka can be seen easily.
This journey begins with a visit to the Analamazaotra Reserve in Andasibe, renowned for its rich biodiversity and the iconic Indri, Madagascar's largest lemur. After exploring the lush rainforest and its fascinating wildlife, the trip continues to Peyrieras Reptile Reserve, offering a close encounter with chameleons, geckos, and other unique reptiles. The day concludes with a scenic return to Antananarivo, showcasing Madagascar's stunning landscapes along the way.
