Traveling by the modern SGR train ensures a smooth and efficient trip, saving both time and cost. What used to be a 4-hour road journey is now reduced to just 1 to 1.5 hours by rail. Upon your arrival at the SGR station in Kihonda, you’ll be met and transferred to Mikumi National Park, just an hour’s drive away—ready to begin your thrilling game drive adventure.
Mikumi National Park, founded in 1964, sprawls across 3,230 square kilometers, nestled amidst the picturesque Uluguru, Udzungwa, and Malundwe mountains.
