Upon arriving at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha International Airport, your journey will begin with a transfer to your hotel in the Arusha region. There, you can enjoy a hot bath, lunch, some relaxation, and a comfortable overnight stay as you prepare for your safari adventure

2Tarangire National Park
Your trip will start early morning (between 05:30 and 06:00) with a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, about 140 km from Arusha. Known for its elephant population, Tarangire offers exceptional game viewing and a unique blend of nature and Maasai culture. During the Dry season, elephants are especially abundant. Enjoy lunch in the park while observing elephant herds. Afterwards, you'll be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

3Mto wa Mbu
The bustling farming community of Mto Wa Mbu, situated between Manyara and Ngorongoro, is home to around 18,000 people. This melting pot of cultures is one of the few places in Tanzania where all 120 tribes live harmoniously together. Despite its name, which translates to ‘Mosquito River’ due to the village's permanent water source, there are fortunately not many mosquitoes.

5Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, your spectacular safari continues from Karatu to Serengeti National Park, a 2-hour drive. With your packed lunch ready, you will enter Serengeti, renowned for its vast plains, abundant wildlife, and the spectacular Great Migration. Experience unparalleled game viewing as you witness herds of wildebeest, zebras, and predators in their natural habitat. The park is also home to the endangered East African oryx, one of the rarest species in the Serengeti ecosystem. Enjoy lunch in the park before being transferred to your hotel/lodge for a hot bath, warm dinner, and a cozy overnight stay.

6Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, continue your safari game drive through the vast Serengeti. With your packed lunch, you'll have the chance to enjoy the abundant wildlife the Serengeti offers. Alternatively, you can choose to shorten this excursion and head straight to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for another unique wildlife adventure. After the game drive, you'll be transferred to your lodge/hotel within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a wonderful overnight stay.

7Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site, features the world's largest unbroken caldera, lush highlands, and diverse habitats. Home to the Big Five, it also hosts wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. Unique landscapes include the Ngorongoro Crater and Olduvai Gorge. Rare animals such as black rhinos and cheetahs can also be spotted, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts. You can explore much of this incredible area if time permits, or head straight to your hotel/lodge to rest and prepare for another day of exploration.

8Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an early morning breakfast, you'll have plenty of time to explore the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enjoy an exhilarating game drive, marking the grand finale of your safari adventure. In the late afternoon, you'll begin your journey back to Arusha, tired but filled with adventurous memories. From Arusha, you can choose to depart from either Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport. This concludes your 5-day northern Tanzania Safari.
