    Positano

Positano, the flagship of the Amalfi Coast, has a very special suggestive structure: you will notice it thanks to the kilometers of colorful buildings perched on the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean (or the striped umbrellas that extend along the coast, the choice is yours). Once a vital part of a great maritime power, Positano is now a sophisticated tourist resort, brimming with ancient charm and incredibly beautiful views, including the famous dome of the church of Santa Maria Assunta. Despite the steep slopes and stairs, it's a pretty easy walk, so be sure to spend time on the unique boutiques, lemon-decorated pottery and handcrafted leather goods; then enjoy some fresh seafood at one of the city's countless restaurants.

    Sorrento

Sorrento is famous for its citrus groves and panoramic sea views, not to mention the pastel-colored buildings that sit on the cliff. Not surprisingly, the main activities revolve around coastal life: diving, fishing, boat cruises and Marina Grande, full of luxury yachts and fantastic seafood restaurants. However, there are many other attractions within walking distance of the coast, such as Piazza Tasso, the bustling town square with quaint cafés and family-run shops. Don't miss the 14th-century church of San Francesco (to spend a nice afternoon, also visit the pristine public gardens of the nearby Villa Comunale park, overlooking the Gulf of Naples).
