The journey of a lifetime begins in the greatest city on Earth, New York City, from The Hampton Inn, Times Square South. We'll depart and head north to visit the Thousand Islands region on the Canadian border and board a ship for a special cruise on the Saint-Lorraine River. Gaze upon some of the 1800 large & small islands, combining nature with huge mansions, palaces and castles. Enjoy panoramic views of the green-blue landscape as we sail down the river and take in its natural beauty. In the evening, we'll arrive at our hotel, in the picturesque town of Watertown.
Today we'll be heading west along the border with Canada until we reach the mighty Niagara Falls. We'll view them from both the American and Canadian sides before embarking on a thrilling boat ride to feel the immense power of the falls pouring right above us. (Apr - Oct). In the winter, we'll visit the "Journey Behind the Falls", a magical journey behind the falls itself. After a visit to the floral clock, we'll arrive at our hotel for a quick rest before setting out for an evening tour of "Goat Island". Here, you will view the incredible sight of Niagara Falls, with millions of liters of water flowing in a foaming torrent from the "Horseshoe" and "Bride's Tomb" waterfalls, all lit up with nighttime spotlights and a firework show. Finally, we'll head to our hotel for a well deserved rest.
This morning, we'll head south through the magical Finger Lakes region, among wineries, vineyards and breathtaking views of the majestic Appalachian Mountains. We'll explore the pictorial, soul-refreshing scenery along Seneca Lake to Watkins Glen Canyon, and awe-inspiring waterfalls that flow into it. We'll take an easy hike through the gorges before continuing along the beautiful scenic route of New York and Pennsylvania States before settling down for the night.
Our captivating tour of Washington, D.C. is guaranteed to be a memorable experience. The first stop is to the Lincoln Memorial, which features an iconic statue of our 16th president gazing out over the city. You'll learn the history of the memorial and the meaning behind the symbolic structure. From there, we'll make our way to the Vietnam War Memorial and Korean War Memorial, where visitors can honor the courageous men and women that sacrificed their lives for their country. Afterwards, it's time to explore the National Mall and its many popular landmark attractions, including the Smithsonian Museums, Washington Monument, and Reflecting Pool. Then, let's take a trip to the iconic White House, home to US presidents and perhaps the most famous residence in the country. To close out our day, we'll explore the Capitol building, admiring its impressive architecture and marveling at the rich history of the nation's capital.
Today promises to be a memorable one as the group heads to beautiful Amish Country. You’ll learn about Amish lifestyle, culture, and even have the chance to snack on traditional foods. We’ll also explore famous Amish markets, where you can shop for handmade crafts and browse a wide collection of unique cultural items
Afterwards, it’s off to Hershey, the sweetest place on earth, where we’ll visit Hershey’s Chocolate World and take a behind-the-scenes tour of the chocolate-making process in the factory, samples included!
Next, our route will take us to Philadelphia, the “city of Brotherly love”. You’ll get a chance to run up the famous Rocky Steps, visit the iconic Liberty Bell, and marvel at the grandeur of City Hall. In the evening, we’ll make our way back to New York City, where we’ll spend our last day exploring famous attractions in the city of dreams.
