Fautaua Waterfall, the largest easily accessible waterfall in Tahiti, offers a breathtaking experience for nature enthusiasts. The journey to this natural wonder is as remarkable as the destination itself.
The trail includes with a scenic hike along the river, nestled deep within a lush valley. Surrounded by spectacular green hills on both sides, the path provides a feast for the eyes and plenty of photo opportunities.
Reaching the waterfall is a rewarding experience. From the base, you’ll take in its towering beauty.
Along the way, you’ll find a pristine natural pool with crystal-clear water and a small cascading waterfall.
The tour is primarily conducted in English and French. It may be possible to arrange a guide who speaks German, Spanish, or Russian, depending on availability. If a guide in your requested language is not available, we will gladly suggest a different tour date.

This is a walking/ hiking Tour, no pick up drop off included. We meet each other at the gate to Fautaua Valley at the parking place where the hike starts. NOTE: we still could offer you a free friendly pickup for this tour in our car, up to 4 persons, no air conditioner. Request if you like this!

We will explore a big waterfall from scenic photo lookout point. Great pictures, gorgeous mountains and rain forest. We will reat at this point to be ready to continue our hike.

Our journey will take us to the highest point at the top of the waterfall, where you’ll find a pristine freshwater natural pool perfect for optional swimming. For those seeking an extra thrill, there’s also the opportunity to slide down a nearby lava tube, adding a touch of adventure to the experience.
