As the bus winds along the coast, you’ll feel anticipation build while your guide points out hidden gems and local stories that make the journey as delightful as the destination.
The hike itself is gentle yet invigorating—30 to 40 minutes along a sparkling river, surrounded by lush greenery and birdsong. When you arrive, the sight of Vallarta’s most breathtaking waterfall will fill you with awe. Spend time swimming in the cool, refreshing pool below, or simply relax on sun‑warmed boulders, letting the mist kiss your skin. Crafted especially for families with young children, the trail, cocooned in shade of the jungle canopy from start to finish, follows the meandering river, offering a constant opportunity to cool off in its soothing waters. Our expedition commences with a scenic 20-minute bus ride from Puerto Vallarta, transporting you just outside the bustling city. Stepping off the bus, we seamlessly transition into our riverside hike, occasionally wading through the gentle flow of the river, usually never exceeding knee depth. We will spend 1 to 1.5 hours enjoying the clear (seasonal) pools of the waterfall. Upon our descent downriver, the afternoon warmth encourages us to pause at additional pools, rejuvenating spirits and bodies alike. Anticipate arriving around in PV by 3 pm, enriched by a day that blends the tranquility of nature with the cherished bonds of family.
