Hiking, you’ll pause at some of the bay’s most beautiful beaches—Playa Colomitas, Playa Caballo, and Playa Madagascar—where swimming in crystal waters or simply resting on the sand will leave you feeling rejuvenated. The adventure culminates at Playa Las Animas, where you’ll have 2–3 hours to savor a leisurely lunch, soak up the sun, and enjoy the vibrant beach atmosphere. Whether you choose to return by boat or extend your hike back to Boca, you’ll leave with a sense of accomplishment, relaxation, and a deeper connection to Puerto Vallarta’s natural treasures.

    View the upscale neighborhood as we travel through on the two lane highway note all the beach front villas and resorts among the jungle canopy.

    Mismaloya was once a sleeping fishing village and then Hollywood came to film the classic picture "Night of the Iguna." We will catch a glimpse of the bay and larger hotels on the bluff and beach as we pass through on the main road.

    View the large granite islands making up the National Marine Sanctuary home to millions of birds and fish.

    We will depart the bus in Boca and walk through the town and then cross the foot bridge over the river to start our hike out of the cove and along the bay to Las Animas.

    This beach is considered by most to be the most beautiful in the area. We will spend time to swim in the emerald green waters or the cove.

    We will spend at least 2 hours here for lunch and enjoying the warm waters of the beach. At least 10 restaurants are located on the beach and several activities are available to rent such as boogie boards, sail boards, bananna boat, and parachute rides.
