You will see a variety of tropical fish, octopus, cuttlefish, turtles and manta rays.

The Open Water certification at Tenerife based scuba diving club Scuba Point is the perfect way for intermediate divers to become fully certified, while exploring the beautiful waters of Tenerife.

The dive sites are suitable for divers that are looking to pass their PADI Open Water certification and want to explore south coast divng spots in Tenerife.

The excursions are led by experienced and certified dive instructors who will guide you through the 5 dives, ensuring your safety and helping you to make the most of your underwater experience. They'll also give you a briefing t each dive site, pointing out the best places to see marine life and interesting features.

There will also be a theoretical test (multiple choice) on the official PADI smartphone app in order to pass.

Please kindly be ready at pick up time because the boat is waiting for us. Either one of the two diving instructors from Scuba Point will meet you there.

The meeting point will be in the dive center, in Puerto Colón, Las Américas, ground floor, in front of Pier 3. You will need to walk around the back of the building, next to Zion Cafe. There is cheap parking in the port.

What to expect

Join us for your PADI Open Water diving certificate in Puerto Colon for 5 dives over 3 days and a QA test on the PADI app to become a certified diver up to 18 meters. The perfect way for new and existing divers to become certified and explore the beautiful waters of the Canary Islands. This certificate leads to more diplomas, such as teaching scuba diving.

You must hold your Padi Open Water certificate for this activity.

Please remember that the minimum age for scuba diving is from 8 years old only.

We have top quality up to date equipment and wetsuits, and the best scuba diving instructors that will look after you carefully and ensure you have a great experience.

The instructor will pick you up or meet you at Puerto Colon. They will decide where to dive on that day depending on the conditions, normally, the course always starts with a dive in playa de Las Vistas or near the port, an easy entry point to assess and practice your skills.

After the initial dive, there will be 4 more open water dives spread out over 3 days. Your instructor will drive you to different scuba diving spots along the south coast of Tenerife depending on the conditions.
