Istanbul Coffee Painting and Art Workshop Experience

2 hours 30 minutes (approximately)

This isn’t a class — it’s a personal workshop in a lived-in Istanbul home where the smell of Turkish coffee fills the air. You’ll taste, paint, and create in the same space where Turkish coffee is prepared daily, making the experience authentic and intimate. Guests often say they came for the art but left with a new appreciation of Turkish coffee as both a drink and a cultural symbol.

What to expect

Discover an unusual art form in a cozy Istanbul home — painting with coffee. After a warm welcome with a freshly brewed cup of traditional Turkish coffee, your host, Kübra will introduce you to the history of this daily ritual and show how coffee can also be used as a natural pigment for art. With brushes in hand, you’ll learn different techniques to create your own coffee painting on paper, experimenting with shades, textures, and your imagination. While you paint, enjoy sips of rich Turkish coffee and light conversation about the culture that surrounds it. At the end, you’ll take home your own coffee-scented artwork as a personal souvenir.

Kübra shares: “Coffee has always been more than a drink in our culture — it carries stories, emotions, and creativity. Using it as paint allows us to see this everyday ritual in a new way.” This experience is equal parts relaxing workshop, cultural insight, and artistic play.
