This is a small group cooking class hosted in a real Kaş home, not a studio kitchen, with a sea view that sets a calm, unhurried mood. Hulya is a former marketing professional from Istanbul who rebuilt her life in Kaş as a private chef and ceramic designer, and she brings that personal story and creative eye to the way she hosts.

The experience begins with coffee and conversation, then moves into practical, home style dishes like karnıyarık, meze, and rice, with a vegetarian option when needed, ending around the table the way locals actually eat.

What to expect

Step into Hulya’s home in Kaş for a relaxed cooking experience with a sea view. You’ll begin the way many visits do here, with a cup of coffee/tea and a chance to get to know each other before you start cooking.

Then you’ll cook side by side in Hulya’s kitchen, learning how a Turkish home table comes together. You’ll prepare dishes such as classic karnıyarık (stuffed eggplant), Turkish style rice, a fresh tomato salad, and two traditional starters known as meze. If someone in the group is vegetarian, Hulya can make a version of karnıyarık with onion and tomatoes.

When everything is ready, you’ll sit down and share the meal you made together just like life-long friends, with time for questions about life in Kaş, conversations about the cultures, and the simple comfort of being welcomed into a local home.
