This photo workshop focuses primarily on black and white, high contrast photography in the urban environment - sometimes color shots are recommended depending on the situation.

We’ll explore a few of these cool locations and learn about how to create images that incorporate geometry, shadows, reflections, silhouettes and leading lines.

During the workshop I'll be offering tips and advice about photography composition, use of light and capturing the moment with your camera.

Please meet in front of the turnstiles at the East exit of JR Ebisu station. There is a New Days convenience store just by the turnstiles.

End point
This activity ends back at the meeting point.

What to expect

We begin in Ebisu, with its sprawling Garden Place painted in shadows cast by its trellised canopy.

Next, we head to Roppongi for a few hidden spots before entering the impressive National Art Center to take advantage of its massive glass facade, and the shadows it casts.

Finally, we’ll head to Yurakucho for an exploration of the hidden depths of the Tokyo International Forum.

Other things to note:
You'll need a 100% charge on your phone /camera.
Comfortable shoes.
A suica/pasmo card for the metro if possible.
