Depending on your landing time at the Airport, our English/French speaking staff/Driver guide will come to pick you up from the airport. They will drive you on the Kigali City tour where you will get a chance to explore and visit different sites of the city such as the Kigali genocide Memorial, the biggest local market in Kigali called Kimironko, Nyamirambo where Kigali as a capital started, and many more interesting sites for travelers. After that, the salt holidays Safaris driver-guide will choose the best restaurant in the city to have lunch. After enjoying lunch, you'll be driven to your booked hotel and check in for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2
From Kigali to Akagera National Park

Begin your safari early with a 5:00 AM pickup from your Kigali hotel for a scenic drive to Akagera National Park. On arrival, set out on a thrilling morning game drive to spot elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, and antelopes across the park’s sweeping savannah. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Ihema, gliding past pods of hippos, crocodiles, and an array of birdlife, including the striking African fish eagle and the rare shoebill stork.

Day 3
Fullday Akagera national park

Akagera National Park
You will wake up, have your breakfast from your lodge, and the driver guide will come to take you for a full-day game drive. In the evening, you will come back to the lodge then you get ready night game drive where you will get a chance to spot nocturnal animals such as leopards, hyenas, jackals, and many more night animals. After enjoying that night game drive, you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

In the morning, after your breakfast, you will check out then the salt holidays Safaris driver-guide will come to pick you up and drive you to the northwest of Rwanda where the park is located. You will be enjoying the beautiful rolling hills of Volcanoes National Park. On arrival at the park, you will check in your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Volcanoes National Park
You will wake up in the morning get your early breakfast and head to the park headquarters to be briefed about how to behave while you are visiting then proceed to track the gorillas. After the remarkable adventure with the gorillas, you will have lunch and later visit the twin lakes Bulera and Ruhondo. Later, the driver-guide will bring you back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk adventure

An early morning start leads you deep into Nyungwe Forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. After a briefing, you'll walk through tea plantations and into the dense rainforest where the calls of the chimpanzees guide your way. Once found, you'll spend an hour observing them as they play, feed, and interact. The afternoon allows time to relax or enjoy optional lodge activities.

Return to Kigali - Visit the Kings Palace & Departure

You'll complete your journey with a scenic drive back to Kigali, passing through the culturally rich region of Rwanda’s southern province. You may choose to stop for a visit at the historic King’s Palace before continuing to Kigali. Upon arrival, you'll freshen up in a day-use room before your transfer to the airport for your departure.
