During the hike, you will explore some of the most beautiful landscapes in Montanejos. Follow your guide along mountain paths overlooking the turquoise waters of the Mijares River, and enjoy incredible views of the deep canyons that shape this valley. As you walk through pine forests and rocky cliffs, you will be surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and the peaceful sounds of nature. You will stop at several panoramic viewpoints where you can take photos and admire the Arenoso Reservoir and the surrounding peaks of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park. Your guide will share stories about the area’s geology, plants, and wildlife, as well as the legend of the Moorish Queen’s Baths, which gave Montanejos its fame for healing waters. Depending on the season, you might spot waterfalls, colorful wildflowers, and birds soaring over the cliffs. This route lets you connect with nature, breathe fresh mountain air, and experience the true beauty of inland Valencia.

After the hike, you will have free time to relax and enjoy the famous natural thermal pools of Montanejos. Here, you can swim in the clear waters that maintain a constant temperature of around 23°C all year long thanks to their mineral composition. Surrounded by cliffs and lush greenery, it is the perfect place to cool off, unwind, and take in the stunning natural setting. You can float peacefully in the river, sit by the rocks to soak your feet, or simply lie on the shore and enjoy the mountain views. If you prefer, you can also take a short walk along the riverside or enjoy a picnic near the water. This moment of rest after the hike allows you to fully appreciate the tranquility and beauty that make Montanejos one of the most unique natural spots in the Valencian Community.
