Nowadays, the application of straw, as well as carving and woodworking, is not very common. This activity offers the opportunity to learn something new, while preserving a tradition and taking the legacy of our ancestors further.

What to expect

Approach to the following topics: presentation of the space and history of the atelier; working instruments and handling of tools; brief explanation of construction processes; straw: work the wooden molds, mark the lines for the holes, apply the straw, finish with varnish (possibility of aging the material); carving: design the template or use an existing one, paste the design on the surface of the wood, learn carving techniques, sanding and varnishing; construction of utilities: support for mobile phones, pens, knives, keys, among others; the student brings the idea and takes the final project; material is included.

The 4h duration of the workshop can be on the same day or on two different days (2h on each).
